WOODS, ROBERT E.
On September 3, 2021 Robert E. Woods (aka, Bob or Woody) passed away peacefully at the Harbor Hospital Hospice Center with his stepdaughter Lisa Glorioso at his side.
Born on August 4, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York to Mr.& Mrs. Edward Woods. Bob had a brother Edward Woods (Deceased) and a sister Connie Woods (Deceased). Husband to Charlene Woods (Deceased) and Evelyn Bowers-Woods (Deceased). A loving father to Todd Woods Sr. (Deceased). He is survived by his stepchildren Randy Bowers, Robin Plivelich, Lisa Glorioso and Debbie Mason. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was a proud veteran who served as a Specialist E-4 in the United States Army Infantry during the Vietnam War (1966 – 1967).
Bob had a varied career working for Montgomery Wards, USF&G, and retired from the Social Security Administration as an IT Specialist.
His passions were cheering for the Baltimore Orioles, Duckpin Bowling, Keno, Harness racing and drinking Bud Lite and telling stories of his past. He enjoyed going to his condo in Ocean City with his son-in-law Joe Glorioso and their buddy Ralph Phillips. His favorite song was “My Girl” by the Temptations and he sang it frequently.
Bob was loved by family and many friends, and he will be missed dearly but live on in all our memories.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at BAILEY Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PA. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 12:00-12:45 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow to Glen Haven Memorial Park, 7215 Ritchie Highway Glen Burnie, MD 21061, arrival time 1:15 PM.
