On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, Nicholas T. McDevitt passed away in Baltimore, MD. Nicholas is survived by his devoted mother Jennifer Taylor-Oxyer; beloved father Darren McDevitt; loving stepfather Craig Oxyer; devoted stepmother Kimmy McDevitt; beloved son Jace; loving sister Krysta Hannigan (husband Nick); loving brothers Bo McDevitt and Joey Bruzdzinski; devoted nephew Colin; beloved nieces Nathalie and Addison; loving grandmother Mary Taylor; and a host of aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews. Nick is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles E. McDevitt Sr. and Mary J. McDevitt, and Clyde Taylor. 


Nick was a devoted first responder and was posthumously promoted to the rank of Lieutenant at the English Consul Volunteer Fire Department. Nick was a kind hearted man that loved his family and his extended family at the Wise Ave Volunteer Fire Department, Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Department, and the English Consul Volunteer Fire Department. Nick earned numerous awards for his public service to Baltimore County families.  


A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 1:00-3:00 PM and 5:00-9:00 PM, Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 1:00-3:00 PM and 5:00-8:30 PM at BAILEY Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department Station 35, 5200 Southwestern Blvd, Halethorpe, MD 21227. A wake will immediately follow at English Consul Volunteer Fire Department.


In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations be made to the BAILEY Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PA in honor of Nicholas McDevitt.
