James E. Collison, Sr.

James Ellis Collison, Sr., 92 passed away on October 12, 2023.  He was born June 3, 1931, in Baltimore, MD.  James served his country for 32 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard and retired as Chief Master Sergeant in 1990.  James loved telling jokes, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and coconut custard pie.  James was loved and respected by all that knew him and made friends everywhere he went.  We will always remember him for his generosity, sense of humor, infectious laugh, love for country, his family and most of all the Lord.
 

James was pre-deceased by his father, James “Major” Collison, his mother Virginia Collison, his loving wife of 52 years, Theresa Helen Collison, beloved son, James “Jimmy” Collison, Jr., and loving siblings, Bob, Harold, Nellie, Grace, Catherine, Mary, Margaret and Bea.  He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Thomas (husband Ken) and son, Douglas S. Collison, his cherished grandchildren, Kevin Crawford (wife Brandi), Dylan Collison, Chrissy Gay (husband Brian) and Douglas J. Collison (wife Candy); his adored great-grandchildren, Joshua, Liam, Evan, Branson, Makenzie and Kynlee; and his loving siblings, Dave, Lynn, Jenny and Joyce.  

A memorial service will be held on October 24, 2023 at 1:00 pm at BAILEY Funeral Home and Cremation Services, PA. A graveside service will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ name may be made to a charity of your choice.
