On Saturday, October 12, 2019, Ruth M. Welkner passed away in Perry Hall, MD. Ruth is survived by her devoted fiancé Jeff Diacont, loving children and stepchildren: Shannon Burgess (husband Mike), Jennifer Burgess-Connors (husband Mike), Kimberly Hynes (husband Kenny) Mike Diacont (wife Lisa), Steve Diacont (wife Alex), beloved sister Jacqueline Smith (predeceased husband Tim), devoted grandchildren: Jaime, Scott, Jessica, Cameron, Nicole, Gabby, Nathan, Harper, Ashton, Zachary, Mikayla, Dawson, and Aiden. Ruth is preceded in death by her loving brother Charles Ward, beloved father Edward Ward, widowed to Herbert “Sonny” Welkner, and loving mother Ruth Ward-Miller.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at BAILEY Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Internment will be private. 

Immediately following the service, everyone is invited to join the family for lunch in the lower hall of Highland Inn Bar and Grill, located at 4117 Annapolis Rd, Baltimore, MD 21227.
