On Thursday, February 22, 2024, Gary Leon Twigg passed away in Johnson City, TN. Gary is survived by his loving mother, Beluah May Twigg (nee Lawrence); beloved sons Christopher Twigg and Gary Leon Twigg, Jr.; loving step-sons Craig Snook, Kevin Snook and Kurt Snook; devoted sisters Cindy and Debbie. Gary is preceded in death by his devoted wife Jane Twigg; beloved son Jerry Twigg and loving father, Raymond K. Twigg.
Gary Leon Twigg, a dedicated and accomplished individual, passed away on February 22, 2024. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and a respected member of the community. Gary's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to serving his country and his passion for martial arts.
Gary enlisted in the U.S. Army at a young age, driven by a deep sense of duty and patriotism. Throughout his military career, he displayed exceptional leadership skills and a strong work ethic, which led to his rise to the rank of Master Sergeant. Gary's dedication to his fellow soldiers and his unwavering commitment to his country earned him the respect and admiration of those who served alongside him.
Outside of his military service, Gary pursued his passion for martial arts. He dedicated countless hours to honing his skills and eventually achieved the esteemed rank of black belt. His discipline, perseverance, and determination were evident in every aspect of his life, inspiring those around him to strive for excellence.
In addition to his military and martial arts achievements, Gary was a beloved family man. He cherished his role as a husband and father, always putting his loved ones first. Gary's family was his greatest source of pride and joy, and his memory will forever be cherished in their hearts.
Gary's remarkable character extended beyond his family and military service. He shared a profound and enduring friendship with James Leonard Watts, a friendship that spanned decades. Their bond was a testament to Gary's kindness, compassion, and loyalty.
Gary and his cousin Sandy had a unique and strong bond that was rooted in their family connection. Their friendship was a source of strength and understanding, and it will always be cherished and remembered.
Gary will be remembered as an extraordinary individual who lived a life dedicated to service, honor, personal growth, and genuine friendship. A public visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at BAILEY. Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PA beginning promptly at 8:00 AM. A funeral service will begin immediately after at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
